As I've been quite busy these passed two weeks I tend to go for easy and comfortable outfits during the weekend to make the studying and the chilling more enjoyable. Think oversized knits, loose trousers or even joggings, large shirts, scarfs, etc. Here are a few outfits I wouldn't mind spending my weekends in! Happy weekend everyone! X Pauline

It's been a while since I last posted one of these 'sneak peek' posts (find here and here). I actually really like writing these so let's bring them back! As I've told you before; I went skiing last week! I went on a skitrip to France for 4 days with my sister and my dad, just like we did last year. After finishing exams there's nothing better to let some steam off than skiing in the fresh mountain air with breathtaking views. Here's my little recap to fight the post holiday blues! We left quite early, around 6AM, and arrived at our bed & breakfast around 1PM. After dropping off our luggage and having a quick lunch we immediately hit the slopes! That's how excited we were! As you can tell by the pictures the weather was not that great but that didn't stop us. After a great afternoon of skiing we went back to our B&B and had an amazing dinner with this beautiful view. The next day was again quite overcast. After a while we noticed there was some kind of snow storm coming so we decided to ski until 2PM because it became too difficult to see anything! We had dinner at a really cosy little restaurant called "L'Auberge des Skieurs" and almost fell asleep at the table. We were so tired! The third day we had breakfast and made sure we were on the slopes at 9:30AM. The weather still wasn't quite what we had hoped for, but we still managed to have an amazing day. At around 4PM the sun came through and we enjoyed a lovely hot cup of tea and a crepe near the slopes. Then we went out for dinner again at a restaurant called "Le Couchetat", which was near our B&B, so we went and made it into a little evening walk to unwind. The last day was just perfect! At 9AM we were already on the slopes and the sun joined us for the day! We tried to ski until 2PM again and just when the big crowd arrived (it was a Saturday) we left again for Belgium!
We really enjoyed our little getaway and I feel like I'm totally ready now for what the next semester will bring! X Pauline For those who know me personally it's no secret I love make-up, and like many other girls, leaving the house without any can be quite challenging sometimes. I really enjoy catching up on Youtube videos or listen to music when I do my make-up in the morning, for me it's kind of relaxing and I like to think it's important to take those 15 minutes for yourself... even if that means waking up a bit earlier. 1. I start off by applying this Bourjois 123 Perfect CC cream. Then I conceal my under eye area and the blemishes I might have that day with the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, and after that I apply a little bit of the Collection Illuminating Touch concealer on my forehead, nose and chin to highlight those areas. I like to use the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to blend all of these products in. To set my base I use a little bit of this Essence All About Matt setting powder. 2. Then I use this Rituals Summer Bronze bronzer to warm up my face and to contour slightly. And of course, blush is necessary to add healthy rosy cheeks and make me look more alive. This one is by Kiko, colour 108. 3. To add a little dimension to my eye area, I like to slightly fill in my eyebrows with this Hema Eyebrow Kit in the colour Taupe, and I do that with a small angled brush. After that I like to set them in place with this clear eyebrow gel, also from Hema. 4. When I feel a little more adventurous I like to apply this 24 Hour Colour Tattoo cream eyeshadow by Maybelline in the colour On And On Bronze. I really like how this instantly makes a difference. Then I add a tiny bit of eyeliner, I use the L'Oréal Perfect Slim Super Liner. Curling my lashes is a must before applying mascara. I cannot leave the house without mascara. It makes you look awake and I feel like I look completely different with or without mascara. The one I'm currently using is this Lash Sensational one by Maybelline, but I like to switch it up from time to time. So there you have it, my daily make-up routine. I'm always looking for new products to discover, so please make sure to leave your holy grail make-up bits in the comments below! X Pauline |
